Our Director of Instruction: Coach Tyler Beasley
“Golf is my passion, and coaching is my calling.” As a PGA Associate and Certified Personal Golf Coach, Coach Tyler had the privilege of teaching over 10,000 lessons and working with golfers of all ages and skill levels. His journey in golf includes being a former World Long Drive professional (2013-2016), where he achieved a personal best of 460 yards in competition. After his competitive career, he shifted his focus to coaching and caddying at the pro level, where he continues to grow and learn daily.
Coach Tyler specializes in helping golfers gain distance, correct swing flaws, and refine their short game. With an Associate’s Degree in Golf Complex Operations from the Golf Academy of America, he has had the opportunity to coach at renowned places like GOLFTEC and The Sea Pines Resort, where he led private lessons and junior/adult programs.
Whether you’re looking to add yards to your drive or shave strokes off your score, Coach Tyler will help you play your best golf.
GOLF INSTRUCTION
Coach Michael McCaffrey combines competitive playing experience with a personalized approach to coaching. A collegiate golfer at Southern Virginia University, Michael earned his degree in Business Management while competing at the collegiate level. He currently competes on professional mini tours, bringing current tournament experience and a competitive mindset to his instruction.
In addition to private lessons, Michael leads the academy’s junior golf camps and coaches the PGA Junior League, where he enjoys helping young golfers develop strong fundamentals, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for the game.
Michael believes every golfer has unique strengths, goals, and learning styles. His instruction emphasizes sound fundamentals, purposeful practice, course management, and the mental side of golf, creating a plan tailored to each individual. Whether working with beginners, juniors, or experienced players, his goal is to help every student improve with confidence while making the game more enjoyable.
GOLF INSTRUCTION
Coach Matt McLean is a teaching professional who’s has spent a lifetime around the game both playing and coaching. Matt began his teaching career in 2007 after graduating from Wake Forest University where he played for one of top college programs in the country.
With extensive experience across prestigious clubs, Coach Matt has served as Director of Instruction at Oakmont Country Club, The Concession Golf Club, and Fishers Island Club for 12 years. He is a “Lead Master instructor” for the Jim McLean golf schools and has earned recognition as one of Golf Digests “Best Young Instructors” for ten years straight as well as being voted by his peers 9th among New York’s ‘Best Teachers in Your State.’ Matt’s expertise spans teaching golfers of all levels, from beginners to PGA tour players. His holistic approach to the game and ability to break down concepts into easily digestible elements helps students leave lessons with a clear mind and a strategic plan for implementing changes.
