RECOGNIZED BY AUDOBON INTERNATIONAL

Bobby Jones Golf Club is recognized by Audubon International for its environmental excellence, designated as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. The Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses guides golf facilities in protecting natural resources and enhancing the environmental quality of their property. Participants work on projects to improve wildlife habitats, conserve resources, and engage in sustainable practices.

JOHN HAMILTON GILLESPIE COURSE

Opening in May 2024, our 9-Hole Par 3 Course will have every one talking! This innovative track allows for multiple Layouts with each hole measuring from 75 yards up to 188 yards. Other Features Include:

• Stand alone stocked clubhouse
• On-site restroom facilities
• Hydration Station 
• Dedicated Practice Putting Green
• Exciting golf for ages & skill levels
• Easily Walkable for all ages 

Named after John Hamilton Gillespie Course (Gillespie Course for short), Sarasota’s first Mayor. He arguably introduced golf to the United States in the late 1800s.

GOLF COURSE ARCHITECT

Originally Designed by Donald Ross in 1926, Richard Mandell Golf Architecture was selected to renovate Bobby Jones Golf Club to open in 2023.

Richard’s work has been nationally recognized for his Creekside Golf & Country Club in Atlanta, Georgia with a nomination for Best New Course in both Golf Digest Magazine and Georgia Golf News. His expansion of Seaford Golf & Country Club won the 1996 DuPont North America Safety, Health, and Environmental Excellence Award.
